Obviously we are all music fanatics over here at the Slow Roast camp, that goes without saying! However, what may surprise some of you, is exactly how diverse our musical tastes are. Some of you know the diversity of our backgrounds, for those of you who are new, well… you’ll get used to it (and learn to love it)! Periodically, we’ll be posting up on the Hog Blog when something interesting catches our ear, which hopefully will be quite often. Regardless, one thing you’ll notice right away is that we are all over the place in terms of what we like. Sometimes you’ll agree, sometimes you’ll disagree I’m sure. Either way, we hope to turn you on to new stuff, and as always, if there’s someone we should know about, send us emails in the about section of the site (or leave it in the comments, we read those too!)
In this case, we’re thinking you’ll all agree with us, Yelawolf is the future. Craze put me onto him a while back, and ever since I’ve been listenin’ to his latest mixtape, “Trunk Muzik” on repeat. I’ve also made it my mission to spread knowledge of him to everyone I meet. I won’t get to wordy on this one, but I’ll just give you a few fun facts about the guy. He’s from Alabama, he loves chevys, he’s got a really unique style, amazing flow and wordplay, plus his beats are hard as hell. It’s hard for anyone regardless of what style of hip-hop you’re into, to deny the talent this dude possesses. Anyway, without any further ado, here’s a video and a link to his latest mixtape. Oh did we mention that Yelawolf will be rockin’ with Craze at Coachella? We didn’t? Well we just did! Let us know what you think! “Pop the Trunk” is my personal anthem by the way and has found itself into my daily vocabulary.
